Create a Sub Page

With JobBoardSheet you can create sub pages to give your users more information about your job board.

If you want the job board to be ranked in search engines, it's important to not just have a one page website. Search engines (Google, Bing...) prefer websites with more pages and quality content.

Here are some ideas for sub pages:

  • About Us page
  • Contact Us page
  • Newsletter page
  • Post a Job page

How to create a sub page

First we need to create a new sub page. Instructions below guide you in the process of creating a new sub page.

  1. Open the dashboard for your job board on JobBoardSheet.
  2. Select Pages in the left-hand sidebar.
  3. Click on + Add Page.
  4. Add the required title and content (in HTML format) and preferably also SEO title and description.
  5. Don't worry, no need to know HTML. Simply use the free Text to HTML editor.
  6. When you're happy with your page, simply copy the generated HTML to the content input field.
  7. Use the visual preview on the right-hand side to preview your page.
  8. Save changes when you're finished with the page.

Now we created our first page. To edit created pages simply use the left-hand sidebar. You can find all the pages under the Pages item.

How to add the HTML content to sub pages

To not limit sub pages to only text, you can add the content in the HTML format. Don't worry, no need to know HTML to create a fully functional sub page. Use instructions below to add content in the HTML format:

  1. Open the free Text to HTML editor.
  2. Create the content for your page using the simple visual editor.
  3. Feel free to embed videos, forms (Google or Airtable Form) or images here.
  4. When you're happy with your page, simply copy the generated HTML to the content input field on JobBoardSheet.

How to link to sub pages from the navigation

It wouldn't make much sense to add sub page if your uses wouldn't have a simple way to access it. The easiest way is to add the link to your sub page to the top navigation bar.

  1. Open the dashboard for your job board on JobBoardSheet.
  2. Select Editor in the left-hand sidebar.
  3. Click on Navbar in the sub list.
  4. Choose if you want your link to show in the navbar as a button or a link.
  5. Add button/link text to the input box.
  6. Select action of the navigation button/link. It can either link to the sub page or to an external URL.
  7. If you choose Open Page, select the sub page you want it to link to.
  8. If you choose Open external url, add external URL.
  9. Save changes when you're finished with the navbar changes.
